I first discovered Naturopathy after suffering with IBD for many years following a gastrointestinal infection picked up on a surfing trip overseas 20 years ago. Naturopathy got me back on my feet and has taught me how to live a healthy happy life.

After a brief side journey of 15 years into the world of winemaking I returned to study Natural Medicine at the South Pacific College of Natural Medicine and am now passionate about helping others discover and incorporate Naturopathic practices into their own lives.

I approach health challenges from a scientific, functional medicine perspective utilising evidence based herbal, nutritional and lifestyle treatments.  

I utilise a combination of a thorough case history, physical examination,  Hemaview – now called FocuSpect and functional medicine tests to identify the root causes and driving factors of disease states.

I believe in the body’s innate ability to heal itself and provide individualised, evidence based treatment plans that are realistic and achievable for all my patients.

Although I work as a general practitioner and am happy to help any condition, I have special interests in the following areas:

I work 3 days a week in clinic, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, as I am passionate about working with busy families and working professionals, I offer evening and weekend appointments.

When I am not working I can be found spending time enjoying the New Zealand outdoors with my wife and two sons or kayaking on one of our many beautiful rivers.
